In order to perform "Deactivate Kill Switch" operation, please follow the next steps:- Attach a testpoint as shown on figure in the manual and connect your phone using Micro USB cable (do NOT use any USB hubs!). For some firmware versions perform the following steps to put a phone
into "Qualcomm-Mode": press and hold "Vol+" button, connect a phone directly to PC via Micro USB cable.
- Check PC Device Manager, a new device should appear "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" or "Unknown Device" if you hadn't installed the driver yet. Drivers are available in Installation Folder.
- Release testpoint and press "Deactivate Kill Switch" button.
- Follow Software instructions (prompts).

🐙 Added new Write Firmware method - Upgrade Mode (non-direct) for firmware in "*.kdz" format for the following Qualcomm-based devices: G4, Stylus 2, Stylus 2 Plus, K10.In this mode Software sends firmware image into the device and then device extracts and installs firmware from the image. Writing of firmware in Upgrade Mode for the new devices is faster than in standard mode.
To write firmware in Upgrade Mode you need to select "*.kdz" firmware, check (enable) "Upgrade Mode" option and press "Write Firmware" button.

Note: Write security backup function doesn't work for LG G5 and V20 models with latest firmware versions (firmwares with signatures). This Reset FRP/Reactivation lock operation needs specific connection sequence using Micro USB and then Samsung Micro UART cable (with 525 kOhm resistor inside).
To perform new Reset FRP/Reactivation operation do the following steps:
- Select mentioned above device model in Software's list.
- Press «Reset FRP / Reactivation / EE» button.
- Select second Reset FRP/Reactivation lock method (press «For devices with UFS memory chips» button).
- Put the phone into Download Mode (power off the phone, press and hold "Volume-" + "Home" + "Power ON" buttons) and connect USB cable.
- When Software asks, disconnect USB cable and connect Samsung Micro UART cable.
- Press and hold «Volume-» + «Power ON» keys for 15-20 seconds, Software will automatically close wizard window and do reset FRP/Reactivation lock.
- Done.
Note: this solution may also work for another (not mentioned above) Exynos CPU-based devices with UFS memory chips. You can try to perform new Reset FRP/Reactivation lock operation for un-supported device by selecting any model from the list above.
Also note, that some revisions of mentioned above devices can be with eMMC chip, not with UFS (even the same model). If You are not sure, that your device has UFS (not eMMC) memory chip, just try to perform new Reset FRP/Reactivation lock operation and Software will automatically detect chip type.
New Reset FRP/Reactivation lock method for Exynos CPU-based devices with eMMC memory chips is under development; stay tuned for future updates.

Octoplus/Octopus Box LG Software v.2.9.1 Release Notes:
🐙 Released custom flashing possibility for MTK and Qualcomm CPU-based devices (supported "*.dz", "*.kdz", "*.oct" firmwares with LAF partition). From now on, you can select firmware file, select (mark) partitions that you want to write, and write only these selected partitions! Also, added possibility to skip formatting Userdata before flashing firmware.
The sequence of writing firmware:
- Select firmware file.
- Press "Write firmware" button.
- Connect the device (put it into Download Mode) according to Software instructions (prompts).
- In the appearing window select (mark) necessary partitions that you want to write, and press "Write" button.
- Skip or allow formatting Userdata and continue the operation.
