Samsung V804SS Unlocking via Flashing Procedure
(100% tested on V804SS from Vodafone Japan)
What you need for this Procedure:
1. V804SS Dual USB+COM cable
2. CD-ROM containing the Necessary Files for this procedure
3. A locked V804SS phone with at least 2 bars in the battery level
Step 1: Installing the Samsung USB Drivers
a. Connect the Z804SS to the USB cable and connect the USB cable to the Computer
b. MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE HAS AT LEAST 2 BARS OF BATTERY POWER
c. When WindowsXP asks for Drivers, please specify the location in your CD-ROM under the folder ‘USB Drivers’
d. After driver installation is complete, proceed to Step 2
Step 2: Flashing the V804SS Boot
a. Run “FastMultiLoader V3.22.exe” found inside the ‘MultiLoader’ directory
b. MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE HAS AT LEAST 2 BARS OF BATTERY POWER
c. Select “SMP6250a (Tuscani,Argo2,Forza,Zesty,Stealth-H,U-Magic…)” under the control tab
d. Put a check on “Boot Change” and “Calculate CRC-32”
e. Click the ‘Boot’ button and select the Directory “MultiLoader’
f. Turn OFF the phone, then hold the “9” button in the phone while pressing the “POWER” button. The phone should display an empty Light Blue screen which is called the Bootloader.
g. Now click the “Port Search” button until the phone is detected, or select the COM port manually if already know the COM number. You can check the COM port number by looking into your System’s Device Manager under Modems SAMSUNG CDMA Modem.
h. Now click “Download” button and boot flashing will begin. Boot flashing time is approximately 30 seconds less. After Boot flashing, the phone will no longer power on or only display a YELLOW Screen. This is normal, proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Flashing the Z804SS into Z540 Firmware
a. Run “FastMultiLoader V3.22.exe” found inside the ‘MultiLoader’ directory
b. MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE HAS AT LEAST 2 BARS OF BATTERY POWER
c. Select “SMP6250a (Tuscani,Argo2,Forza,Zesty,Stealth-H,U-Magic…)” under the control tab
d. Put a check on “Calculate CRC-32”
e. Click the ‘Modem’ button and select the File “VMSZT_V804CHAN2_official.bin” found inside the ‘MultiLoader’ Directory
f. Click the ‘Rsrc1’ button and select the File “Rsrc_V804CHAN2.rc1” found inside the ‘MultiLoader’ Directory
g. Click the ‘Rsrc2’ button and select the File “Rsrc2_V804CHAN2.rc2” found inside the ‘MultiLoader’ Directory
h. Click the ‘FactoryFS’ button and select the File “FactoryFs_V804CHAN2.ffs” found inside the ‘MultiLoader’ Directory
i. Turn OFF the phone, then hold the “9” button in the phone while pressing the “POWER” button. The phone should display an empty Light Blue screen which is called the Bootloader.
j. Now click the “Port Search” button until the phone is detected, or select the COM port manually if already know the COM number.
k. Now click “Download” button and firmware flashing will begin. Firmware flashing time is approximately 6 minutes or less.
After firmware flashing, this will be
displayed in the phone’s LCD.
*** After Firmware Flashing, you must write the IMEI back to the phone since it was ERASED during the flashing procedure ***
*** You Must also Fix the BLUETOOTH Address since it was also ERASED during the flashing procedure ***
Step 4: Writing the IMEI to the phone
a. Run “nsdongle.exe” found inside the ‘IMEI Write” directory
b. Select “Z500” in the ‘Phone Model’ drop-down list
c. Click “Write IMEI” button and input first 14-digits of the IMEI written in the sticker at the back of the Battery enclosure of the phone. DO NOT CHANGE THE IMEI OF THE PHONE OR IT MIGHT NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. Input only the correct IMEI of the phone.
d. DO NOT PRESS “OK” button yet !!!
e. Connect the phone to COM 1 using your Serial COM Port cable for V804SS (Do not use the USB Cable)
f. Turn on the phone normally without SIM Card and wait for the “Please insert SIM card” message to be displayed
g. Now is the time to click the “OK” button in the NS DONGLE software
h. After this procedure, restart the phone and check via pressing *#06# if the correct IMEI has already been written
i. If the phone still displays “IMEI not Active”, go back to procedure “a” and repeat until the correct IMEI is written successfully
Step 5: Fixing the BLUETOOTH Address
a. Turn on the phone Normally and wait for the “Please insert SIM card” message to be displayed
b. Press *#123580# on the Phone’s Keypad to enter “Test Mode” in the phone
c. Press the ‘Down’ button 3 times
d. Press the ‘3’ button (BD ADRESS)
e. Press the ‘2’ (WRITE BD ADRESS)
f. Enter any 6-digit number you want, like ‘234523’ etc… then press OK
g. Then, enter another 6-digit number you want, like ‘278645’ etc… then press OK
h. Exit the “Test Mode” menu by pressing the Red “Call End” button
Step 6: Testing the phone
a. Put a Local SIM card into the phone, anything except VODAFONE SIMs.
b. Turn on the phone Normally and wait until the Network Signal Level is displayed
c. Now your Japanese V804SS has been successfully unlocked!
d. Change language settings to English if necessary
