Version 1.0.1 – Added dead boot repair for LG SU130, LG KU4000, Samsung SPH-W8400, Samsung SCH-W560!

Medusa Box v. 1.0.1 is out! We have added dead boot repair for LG SU130, LG KU4000, Samsung SPH-W8400, Samsung SCH-W560 and fixed repair files for Huawei U1000s and Huawei U120s.

To resurrect devices perform the following steps:

• Solder JTAG cable to JTAG testpoints as explained in the manual;

• Connect battery;

• Make sure that correct model has been selected from the models list;

• Set Jtag speed to Auto (RTCK);

• Select the EasyRepair mode;

• Press the EasyRepair button and follow Wizard instructions;

• After operation is successfully finished reconnect the battery and put the phone into the Emergency mode to make sure that it has been recovered;

• Desolder JTAG wires.

To put SU130 into the Emergency mode perform the following steps:

• Reconnect battery;

• Press and hold "Call" + "Power ON" keys;

• Connect a USB cable;

• Make sure that new device appears in PC Device Manager.

To put KU4000 into the Emergency mode perform the following steps:

• Reconnect battery;

• Connect USB cable;

• Press and hold "2" + "5" + "Power ON" keys;

• Make sure that new device appears in PC Device Manager.

To put Samsung SPH-W8400 or Samsung SCH-W560 into the Emergency mode perform the following steps:

• Reconnect battery;

• Press and hold "4"+"Power ON" keys;

• Connect USB cable;

• Make sure that new device appears in PC Device Manager.

1. Reconnect battery;
2. Press and hold "9" + "Power ON" keys;
3. Connect USB cable;
4. Make sure that new device appears in PC Device Manager.

Made some improvements to the software.

If you are unable to repair Samsung GT-S5830B/GT-S5830D/GT-S5830L/GT-S5830T or GT-S5838 phones (this is because of the limited Samsung firmwares for those versions) please perform following steps:

Connect phone in Advanced Mode and erase full flash.
Connect phone in Advanced Mode and repair as Samsung GT-S5830.
Flash phone with Samsung GT-S5830 firmware.
Check if the phone is repaired successfully.

To repair LT15i/SO-01C/MT15i/MK16a/MT11i you need to perform following operations:

1. Press "Repair Phone" button.
2. Reconnect battery.
3. Attach Testpoint and connect phone with Micro USB cable directly to the motherboard's USB port (avoid USB hub connection).
4. Install necessary drivers (located in "C:\Program Files\GsmServer\Medusa\Driver\USBFlash" folder).
5. Follow software instructions (prompts).
6. When Repair will be done, you'll need to re-flash the phone with any firmware from the free Medusa Box support area of the Boot-Loader v2.0 portal.

Note that after Phone Repair procedure, your phone will have "00000000000000" IMEI number and will be locked. To unlock or repair IMEI, you can use Octopus Suite.
