How To Downgrade Htc Hero Hboot To 1.76.004

Quick Guide How to Downgrade Hboot:

1. On your phone, goto Settings, Applications, and make sure Unknown source is checked ON.

2. On your phone, goto Settings, SD card and phone storage, and click Unmount SD card.

3. Then click Format SD card (it should automatically remount after this).

4. Plug the phone into the compuer via USB, then pull down the notification bar and click on the SD card notification. Then click mount.

5. Download this APK and recovery image & hboot zip from Support
and save it to your computer:

6. Save both the recovery.img, flashrec.apk & Update.zip to your computer, then copy them both to your SD card
(do not put them inside any folders on the SD card, just put them in the root of the SD card itself).

7. Unplug the phone from the computer once they are downloaded to the SD card.

8. Goto the Market and download Linda File Manager or any file manager program if you do not already have one.

9. Open the file manager and goto SD Card and then find the flashrec.apk file and click on it.
If asked, tell it to use Package Installer to open it. It should automatically install the apk.

10. Open the FlashRec program and click on Backup Recovery Image and wait for it to finish.

11. Once done, click on the empty text box in the FlashRec program and type:
/sdcard/recovery.img
Then click on the Flash Custom Recovery Image button and wait for it to finish.

12. Turn off the phone and turn it on into Recovery mode by holding down Home and Power to turn it on
(keep holding until the recovery screen comes up has a bunch of text on a black background).
As long as that screen comes up, you have done it correctly and can now go and load other ROM/hboot/whatever

13. Now Put update.zip in sd card
& in recovery mode select option 'update any zip from sd card'

14. Now select update.zip & press home button to confirm.

15.now it will ask press home & back button same time for completion the process

THIẾT LẬP "Recovery" CHO HTC HERO

Recovery là trạng thái của máy, nếu chúng ta:
- Tắt máy.
- Nhấn giữ HOME và nhấn bật máy POWER (vẫn giữ HOME)
Sẽ hiển thị các Menu hỗ trợ các chức năng khác nhau hỗ trợ can thiệp vào máy:
- Update các file cho hệ thống
- Backup NAND, khi cần có thể trả máy về trạng thái cũ
- Wipe - giống như HR, làm sạch hệ thống để chạy HĐH mới sau khi đã Update.
- Kích hoạt chuyển các Apps qua thẻ, chia thẻ, tạo Ext,...

Duới đây là cách thiết lập Recovery cho HTC Hero đang chạy ROM 2.73.405.5 hoặc 2.73.411.5. Với các máy chạy ROM cũ hơn cũng có thể áp dụng, nếu Update lên bằng thẻ nhớ (GoldCard).


CÔNG CỤ CẦN THIẾT:
Các file cần thiết bao gồm:
- recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.2.img, phiên bản mới nhất, link tải:

- flashrec_20090815.apk, link tải:

Có nhiều phương pháp thay đổi Recovery cho Hero, tuy nhiên phương pháp tôi giới thiệu dưới đây có thể coi là khá ngắn gọn và dễ thực hiện hơn cả trên Windows.

CÁC BƯỚC TIẾN HÀNH

Chúng ta thực hiện các bước sau:

1/ Hãy vào máy (Hero): Settings >>> Applications >>> Unknown sources và nhấn dâu "V". Để máy sẵn sàng nhận cài đặt từ nguồn ngoài.

2/ Kết nối máy với PC, Sync và sử dụng chức năng "Appliaction Installer" để cài đặt file flashrec_20090815.apk vừa tải về trên.

3/ Tải recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.2.img về và đổi tên thành recovery.img.
Copy recovery.img và thẻ (thư mục gốc).

4/ Vào Programs, hãy mở "Recovery Flasher", sẽ thấy 1 khung ô trắng và 2 Menu.
- Nhấn "Backup Recovery Image", sau khi hoàn thành chuyển tiếp
- Gõ vào ô trắng lệnh:

sdcard/recovery.img

- Nhấn Flash Custom Recovery Image
Quá trình rất nhanh, nếu hoàn thành sẽ thấy hiển thị:

Flashed New Recovery Image

5/ Rút máy khỏi cáp, tắt máy và giữ HOME, bật máy, sẽ thấy hiển thị Menu.
Nhấn tiếp reboot system now để máy khởi động lại.

Máy đã được thay chỉnh Recovery.

Unlocked SPL 1.76.2007 - Hero

Phiên bản SPL: 1.76.2007, nếu Update xong, HTC Hero của chúng ta sẽ có thể Up tất cả các ROM khác nhau (cả Ship và Cook), máy sẽ không còn bị Brick nữa.

CÁCH THỰC HIỆN:

- Trước hết máy của bạn đã được thay đổi Recovery, có thể tham khảo cách làm tại đây:

Recovery HTC Hero

- Tải Unlocked SPL (nguồn Modaco) đưa kèm dưới bài, sẽ là file
update-hero-hboot-1.76.2007-signed.zip

- Copy file trên vào thư mục gốc của thẻ.
- Tắt máy, nhấn giữ HOME và nhấn POWER để máy khởi động với Recovery.
- Dùng núm xoay di chuyển tới Menu: Flash zip From sdcard
- Nhấn vào update-hero-hboot-1.76.2007-signed.zip file trên
- Nhấn HOME để xác định cài đặt
Sau khi cài đặt thành công.
Nếu đưa máy vào Bootloader (POWER + BACK) bạn sẽ thấy hiển thị:

HBOOT-1.76.2007 (HERO10000)

Máy của bạn đã có SPL Unlocked, có thể thoải mái Up các ROM từ thẻ hoặc qua kết nối.

HTC Aria ( HTC Intruder )

Description: This is a Clean Eclair Build that ive ported from the Legend to the Aria. Theres no HTC sense at all. It is rooted and busybox is installed. Im still working on getting this port working fully with the aria so for now This is in Beta.

Check HBOOT Version

1. Power down your phone by holding the power button until the menu appears and select "Power Off"
2. Press and hold the volume down button on your phone (don't let go until I tell you to)
3. Press and hold the power button on your phone (don't let go until I tell you to)
4. Once the screen turns on, go ahead and release both buttons
5. The phone should boot into a special boot screen, at the very top is some text... you can find your HBOOT version within that text.

fastboot and recovery

power off the phone

hold volume down + power (phone should boot into white screen with 3 android skaters)

phone will load ESPRIMG.zip

when it asks if you want to update, press volume up to move to yes and press power to select. (if it does not ask you to update, you may need a different version of ESPRIMG.zip)

wait.

when the update is complete the phone will ask you to reboot. use volume keys to choose no and press power to select.

use volume keys to move to recovery and press power to select. the phone should reboot into a black screen with a red triangle.

hold up and press power.

use the volume keys to move to apply update.zip and press power to select. this will take you to clockwork recovery.

(once in clockwork recovery, use trackpad to navigate menus)

go to nandroid and push trackpad to select. perform a backup. press back to go to main menu.

go to wipe and push trackpad to select. perform wipe (factory reset). press back to go to main menu.

go to install zip from sd card and push trackpad to select.

go toto choose zip and push trackpad to select

go to update-cm-6.0.0-Slide-RC1-signed.zip and push trackpad to select

repeat the same process for gapps

when gapps is done reboot the phone

clean up (after the phone boots)

remove update-cm-6.1.1-Slide-signed.zip from sd card (optional. if you want to reflash the rom, keep it)

remove gapps-mdpi-20110301-signed.zip from sd card (optional. if you want to reflash the rom, keep it)

remove update.zip from sd card (optional. if you softbrick the phone, you will need this to get into clockwork to do a nandroid restore.)

remove ESPRIMG.ZIP from sd card

run rom manager and hit flash clockworkmod recovery (ensures that the phone will boot into recovery without update.zip on the sd card)

in rom manager, hit reboot into recovery

scroll down to nandroid and perform a backup.

once backup is finished, scroll down to install zip from sd

again, go to install zip from sd and choose radio.zip to install the radio.

once the radio is finished, reboot the phone and wait. The phone may reboot itself a couple times and show screens that look worrying, as though the phone is unable to find an image to boot from. Be patient and do not turn the phone off.

Test wifi connectivity and make sure both uploads and downloads work well. If you experience issues with wifi connectivity, refer to this thread for a possible solution.
